Engineering Services is responsible for researching and administering contracts for professional services for engineering; analyzing development applications and transportation impacts; providing responsive transportation and encroachment permit processing and inspection services; and works with other governmental agencies on design and construction of their facilities.

The Department's construction activities are outlined in the City Annual Budget document, Capital Improvement Project (CIP) section. The CIP is a projection of the City's capital improvement projects over a five-year period and addresses the need to maintain/improve the City's streets, parks, and other infrastructure.
